– The Scaled Agile Framework, or SAFe for short, is the leading framework for Business Agility. In this course you get a general overview of both the principles and best practices of SAFe. We will discuss agile teams and agile release trains, the creation and prioritization of features, DevOps in SAFe and architecture. A live simulation of a PI Planning is also part of the course. Finally, we pay attention to Lean Portfolio Management, change management and the implementation of SAFe. This course forms a solid basis for more advanced SAFe courses.

Who should attend Leading SAFe® (SA)
This training is focused on clients, managers, consultants, Lean- Agile Agile leaders and change agents.
This course is the official SAFe course and is delivered by certified trainers. The SAFe Agilist (SA) certification exam is included in the course. The cost of the exam is part of the course price. You will take this online exam at a time and place of your own choice, but within 30 days of the course. In the Scaled Agile online learning environment, you will have access to an e-learning prior to attending the course and to the digital workbook that accompanies the course. Youcan also use this environment to take a practice test (mock exam).If this is your first SAFe training, a one-year membership to SAFe Studio is included. Through SAFe Studio, you have access to e-learnings, videos, discussion forums, toolkits and templates. We always use the latest training materials from Scaled Agile.
Prerequisites
Prior to the course, you will have access to five Scaled Agile e-learning modules:
- Agile Basics
- What is SAFe for Lean Enterprises?
- SAFe Core Values
- Lean-Agile Mindset
- SAFe Lean-Agile Principles
In order to start the training with the correct prior knowledge, it is essential that you go through these e-learnings prior to the training. This will take you between 2 and 4 hours.

- How to establish Team and Technical Agility and organize around the flow of value
- How to align massive organizations around clear, common objectives
- How to participate successfully in critical SAFe events, such as PI Planning
- How to adopt a customer-centric mindset
