What is Introduction Linked Data

Contents

– Ever thought about how Google – from different websites on the internet, with major differences in design and language – can quickly present a structured page with filter options? The concepts and technology behind this functionality is called Linked Data and can be applied to data within one or more organizations.

– Linked Data, the basis of the Semantic Web, can no longer be called new. However, many organizations lack knowledge of this because professionals logically have and continue to focus on conventional implementations. Following this training provides a theoretical and practical basis to better participate in discussions on the subject and to demonstrate how Linked Data works. This training also provides a valuable basis in the context of related, but more advanced topics such as Knowledge Graphs and Data Mesh.

– The following topics will be discussed during this training:

– What Linked Data/Semantic Web is and how it originated;

– What can be achieved with Linked Data;

– RDF and how it relates to Linked Data;

– SPARQL and what one can do with it;

– Essential RDF vocabularies to fill specific applications.

– The training is divided into two parts: a theoretical part in which relevant knowledge is discussed for the second, practical part, in which the participant can apply the theory acquired.
