What is Master Data Management & Reference Data Management Advanced
Process integration, regulatory reporting, management information, marketing analyses, advanced analytics: they all rely on high quality master and reference data.
But what are master and reference data? And how can these be managed to ensure optimal value for the organization?
In this training, we will cover the high-level solutions for master data management and how these can be implemented.
We will also discuss prerequisites for implementation (including dependencies with other aspects of data management) and the types of tools available in the market.
Finally, we will cover where solutions for reference data management differ, and how this impacts their implementation.
During the training, the application of what you learn is central and you are challenged to work with the theory in practical cases.
The training is given by people with an extensive background in Master and Reference Data Management. They know how it’s applied in practice. They can therefore share “real-life” examples of master and reference data management issues and the ways these were resolved.

Prerequisites
Knowledge of basic concepts like the definitions of master and reference data, and where these differ from transaction/activity data is assumed.

Objectives
At the end of this training, the participant understands the processes and tools relevant to data master and reference data management, and how these should be implemented in an organization.
The training aims to clarify the architecture and business concepts around these topics. Attention is also paid to the relationship of master and reference data management with other aspects of data management, such as data governance metadata and data quality.
This training is not focused on a specific MDM-solution or MDM-technology. It is primarily intended to gain insight into the solution directions and the implementation roadmap, and discuss potential pitfalls.
