What is Introduction Data Management based on DMBOK

In the course of time, the focus has shifted from the data that is fixed in systems, to services, processes, and the (graphical) user interface (user experience). As a result, basic knowledge and skills in the field of data is disappearing. With this training you will get knowledge of the various types of data in systems and their characteristics. You will become aware of the importance of data during development processes and why data for organizations is crucial. You will gain insight into components and building the business case around setting up data management. The course is an introduction to Data & Data Management and a good basis for gaining more in-depth knowledge.

At the end of this training participants will be able to:

  • Understanding the importance of data during development processes and for business processes
  • Understanding the business case for Data Governance
  • Recognize data management pitfalls within organizations and various solution areas to address this

In addition, the participant can explain the relationship between the various areas within Data Management based on the DAMA DMBOK framework.

You are involved in the development, management and management of information systems.

Prerequisites

You have a thinking / working level at least HBO level. You work in an IT department in a policy role, or in a department in which you often have contact with the IT department about data management.
